In Traditional East Asian Medicine theory, major factor of illness are the affects, or the underlying emotions held in the body. Other causes of illness are external, such as weather conditions, infectious agents, or injury, etc. But even these external causes can be handled if the internal integrity of the body is strong. So we focus on addressing the root cause of disharmony and disruptions in the body-mind system.

The body holds all the events and thoughts that we have lived. For instance, even though you may think that you have come to peace with an event from the past, whether physical or emotional, unless it is released from the body, it can still disrupt your nervous system and create anxiety, addictions, habits, unwanted behaviors and thoughts that run in the background, which in turn weakens the body-mind system. The aim of each session is to explore these areas, and to find balance and sense of well being despite the challenges we face in our daily lives.
